Supplements
There are many ways that we can try to tackle mental health and often we can try to improve with the inclusion of supplements. Unfortunately the supplement market is loaded with so many options which can make it confusing for even the most informed shoppers. We’ll attempt to provide you with sound recommendations here though we would encourage to discuss these in further detail with your provider. We’ve also partnered with Fullscript in an effort to bring you supplements at a reasonable price.
Lavender (Silexan)
Has been shown to improve anxiety, depression, and sleep.
Recommend: CalmAid
Omega-3 (Fish Oil)
A host of potential benefits to include improvements with ADHD, depression, metabolic issues (cholesterol, high blood pressure), and inflammation. The best natural source being salmon, while the American Heart Association recommends eating 2-servings of fish per week, there is concern that some fish may have high levels of mercury, which can be harmful, particularly for pregnant women.
If shopping for a supplement you’ll want to aim for at least 1,500mg (EPA + DHA) with the optimal ratio being 2:1, EPA: DHA
Recommend: Viva Naturals
